SUNDAY AT MT BALDY

As all of us southern Californians watched the mother of all storms bound the greater LA region and constantly checked all the local mountain websites for any glimpse of what was going on in the higher elevations and waking up at 4 to check the roads with sour disappointment or not having much shot or getting up there friday or Saturday, we pulled out the trump card and made it official that we were getting up to Mt. Baldy no matter what. So most of the homies gathered in beautiful Yorba Linda to get ready for the day of gnarly pow shred that awaited us.

-We decided to start the night off at Bucca de Bepo were we had the kitchen table .... NBD

As you may or may not know it has been dumping in bear  and the local mountains... we got over 5 feet last week and like 3 days of sun shine and it just wont stop snowing
hopefully we will take some time away from the pow shreding and shoot some pics for you :)

last night we were invited to a masquerade ball/open bar at the Kun residence(owner of bear mountain and summit).  I didnt have a mask so tayler went to the store and got materials and i made this one.

we left tonight at 5. as soon as we got in the car it began snowing. this week is supposed to bring a lot of snow.

Disc Golf Tuesdays

Jacob and Richie love the play disc golf and have been spending a lot of time at the local course. It gets pretty gnarly. The intense 18 holes are littered with trees that will eat a disc whole and pot holes that could give you a mean ankle roll. With hard core localism its not for the faint of heart but luckily we snapped some pics for you viewing pleasure! :)

Day Trips and Hot Laps

Jacob Mason and I (richie) took a quick little day trip to get some rad turns in and met up with friends. Bears park is straight up on point and the weather couldnt have been better. it was like spring in january with temps in the 50's jacob and his dino had fun all day and snapped some photos on his phone to document some of the day. there will be more pics of the other homie shreders soon :)

So basically the ZOMBIE DEATH CREW threw down all night long. it was only Richie Conklin and Ian Dodds that showed up but nun the less shut the contest down. it was a simple set up a tube thing, a long down rail, and a flat box. Ian started the night off in the 15 and under division looking like a man amongst boys with a tail press that could hide a small child. he continued his slaughter through finals all the way to take a hands down first place!

Next was the 16 and over were Richie was more like a boy amongst men... were talkin full grown facial hair but he held his own making it to finals and then taking an unexpected 4th place finish.... They both quilified for the 30,000 dollar championships in mammoth at the end of the season
